Indications/Usages: 

• Infected or uninfected acute wounds
• Infected or uninfected chronic wounds 
• Infected or uninfected thermal or chemical wounds (e.g. 1st and 2 nd degree burns, chemical burns, etc.) 
• Wounds caused by electrical current 
• Radiation wounds
• Entry regions of urological catheters 
• Maintenance of peristomal skin, fistulas and abscesses
• To create a barrier between the wound and the dressing, to prevent drying out and sticking.

Actolind® w Gel forms a protective film layer between the wound surface and the dressing and prevents the adhesion of pathogenic microorganisms on the wound surface mechanically. Actolind® w Solution facilitates removal of biofilms while Actolind® w Gel prevents the formation of biofilms. Actolind® w Gel protects the wound from external influences by forming a thin protective layer on the wound surface. It fills the gap between wound surface and wound dressing and thus increases the effectiveness of the dressing but also prevents the adhesion of the dressing material to the wound.
